The piano that we had at home was my mom's gift to her mother when her mother was still alive. When her mother died, my mom took the piano and transfered it to the house that was built by mom and dad.
Mom and Dad is a music lover and they dreamt of learning how to play the piano and so Me and my Achi was the one who took the sunday piano lesson in behalf of my parents dreams.
I was 4 years old when I started playing the piano. At first, the piano pieces that my teacher gave me was just a simple one such as until I reached the stage that my piano teacher were giving me "Ballad Poure Adeleine, Chopsticks, Somewhere Out There, More Than You'll Ever Know etc"., and then I played countless pieces at home. As to those who are not aware, these pieces are quite advance for an 8 year- old to play. Somehow, I would say that I was a fast learner when it comes to piano. I can easily learn the pieces but my achi is better when it comes to widowing. My piano teacher would always give me an applause after playing all my pieces during the end of my piano session. I just loved playing the piano.
I remember then, whenever we have visitors coming, my dad would always ask Me and Achi to play the piano to entertain our visitors.
For more than 5 years, I played piano during weekdays, especially when I'm not doing anything at all and attend to my piano tutorial during Sundays. I just loved playing my pieces over and over again. But one day, I just lost the enthusiast to play it, and when my piano teacher saw that, she just suddenly stopped going to our house to teach me more.
I was just a child then, I stopped my piano lessons when I was 10 years old. However, I am thankful that I was able to learn how to play the piano. Not everyone has the talent and the skills to do it. It's just that the music and harmony that the piano produces is so magical! It's just so different than any other musical instruments.
I still love to play the piano however we now use the keyboard that daddy brought us from Europe. The piano that once we have is gone. It just doesn't play well probably because of its age. It's so old and we were not able to preseve it and so my mom and dad disposed it. If my family could have asked my opinion, I'd definitely say we keep our piano because it's full of memories. My mother's gift to her mother who have passed away; The piano also witnessed our childhood and how me and my achi learned the art of playing it. Aahh.. memories...sentiments... I'm a sentimental person and I can't help it =)
I found this man at You Tube, he's name is David Sides. He's just so good in playing the piano. I instantly fell in love with his music. I'd like to share with you this video.

Pet Baptism

What a gloomy day. It’s raining cats and dogs. Good thing It didn’t rain that hard this morning and so me and Kurt were able to attend the 9am Sunday Mass at the Malate Church. Anyway whether the rain pours or not we were still set to atten the mass though.
Speaking of Dogs…
Today is the feast of St. Francis of Assisi and Malate Church conducted a blessing for guess what?? tataradaaaa.. Pets!! How cute……… after the mass, the priest called those who brought their cute dogs of different sizes and breeds and had somehow a pet baptism. Those cute Pugs, Shitzu, Dalmatians just kept on running and walking in front of the altar. They are just so adorable and irresistible. Then their masters carried them and so the ceremony started.
Only in the Philippines :-)

Crazy Bangkok Trip
The trip was so fun and so cool because we made our way to find those tourist spots by ourselves without any tour guide. We just followed our own itinerary. Prior to our trip, I’ve made a few research on what places we should visit. Our hotel was a fine and neat and our hotel room was sweet!! Yeah baby~ :P
We arrived at Suvamnabhurmi Airport at 3:00am.
Thailand airport looks really nice and wi-fi is accessible all over the airport; I just wish our very own NAIA 1 looks just as presentable as HKG and BKK airport. Ok fine, let’s not compare the international airports of U.S. with our beloved NAIA 1 but at least, our government should start considering the thought of renovating it. I’ve been in different international airports and whenever I would arrive at our very own NAIA 1, I would always feel disappointed on how our airport looks. NAIA 1 very 80’s and the airport is really small and the baggage carts are old and the personnel doesn’t smile as if they are always scrounging.
Anyway, we reached Baiyoke Boutique Hotel at almost 4am. We were way too tired that as soon as we lay down our backs on the bed, we we’re instantly knocked out.
We road a cab for 70 baht going to our first target spot.
The Wat Po Temple. We we’re no longer surprise to see a lot fellow tourist endlessly taking pictures of the tower ( I don’t know how they call it) and the Buddha’s. And so me and my girlfriends of course, brought out our digicams as well and started taking pictures, here, there and all over the place. Then we went to Grand Palace. At first we we’re amused of the temple and the Buddha but after hoping from one temple to another, we felt overwhelmed by Buddha images and temples that we decided to get out and see other places.
We rode a tuktuk for 50baht. It was just like riding a tricycle here in Manila and you’ll just inhale all the smoke coming from the public vehicles and as what I’ve said, it was really humid outside. Probably if I’m a tourist from the West or from “the down-under” I’d probably be really amused but coming from a neighbor country at South East Asia? I would say, it was just an ok experience for the tuktuk ride part.
Then we went to Siam Square, the shopping area. We just walked around the place, sight-seeing, grabbed a lunch in this local restaurant. And walked again around, took pictures. Before the day ended, we decided to take a cruise on the river. A very nice taxi driver drove us to that place for just 60 baht. We rented a boat for 1,200baht. I know it’s expensive, but just for experience sake, we bit the rate. Anyway we’re there to experience new things that are not available here in Manila. After a 1 ½ hour of cruise around the river and stopping by the temple again, we felt really tired so we decided to grab a dinner in this very famous Thai seafood restaurant for Tourist ( I forgot the name of the resto. Hehehe) and then off we went back to the hotel.
Day 2. woke up at 8am, fixed ourselves. Grabbed a one big breakfast serving at the hotel and then off we beat the streets going to CHATUCHAK MARKET! The place for the ultimate shappang!! (shopping). From 10am-6pm, Donna and Jinky endlessly shopped for whatever they saw. I didn’t ultra shopped because I just didn’t feel like doing it, (sayang ang pera. hehehe.. kuripot ako e =p) . Though I bought a few stuff for dad and Kurt and for myself and that’s it.
We just stayed in Bangkok for 3 days and 2 nights. But it was a fun-filled, tiring and very good experience visiting Thailand. The hotel was cheap but looks very classy and nice. Thais are friendly and courteous. The streets in Thailand are very clean. Thailand is a very promising country in terms of economic growth.
Our next place to be,
SINGAPORE with my siblings! Soon.. This coming October fest

My Bestfriend's Wedding
Today is the 4th of June, year 2007. I received the first e-mail sent by Aileen, my best friend of 12 years, since she has arrived in Colorado , U.S a week ago. I have a surreal feeling o f excitement and disbelief upon reading her detailed e-mail. I quickly opened it and read the content. I can’t slow it down. I’ve never been happier for my best friend. It was like a dream and now everything is for real.
On June 16, 2007 at exactly 6pm, my best friend will officially be called “Mrs. Falter”. I’m really happy for everything that’s happening into her life. How I wish I can witness her simple but solemn wedding.
I remember back then when we we’re just in high school; Me, Arleene and Aileen we're called "trios". We we’re like sisters separated by birth. The three of us would often talk about who’s going to get married first.
To my best friend and my kumare,. Congratulations to you and Rich. I’ll see you in a couple of years from now

Vienskie Learns the Art of Blogging
It's already 2:00am and boy! I'm still wide awake. It's been so long since I last sat infront of my laptop just doing personal stuff other than burning my eyebrows solving those Statistics problems and assignments for my MBA class and whew! thank God I pass the freakin' subject =)
Tonight, I exercise my adult prerogative to do whatever I want to do. Man! I missed this kind of ecstasy when it seems like I have all the time in the world and I can go online as long as I want till my eyeballs pop out of my head hehehehe....and without the pressure that I have to wake up early for the next days' agenda.
I've seen friends do their own blogs on the net and I don't have any freakin' idea why they share their own personal thoughts online and yet people wouldn't really give a damn time reading this stuff...
Then after a few minutes clicking these buttons on my friendster account, for curiousity sake I guess, I found myself typing endlessly, creating my very 1st blog entry here at friendster. My fingers just kept on clicking the keypads as if they have their very own minds and words just keeps popping out of my head.
So now I understand why bloggers love to blog.. hehehe.... =)
